The Engine House Theatre
The Engine House Theatre
The Engine House Theatre
performances, film
screenings, workshops,
rehearsals, music festivals,
dinner theatre, and for private
parties.
The theatre seats 135, with the rows for
more floor space.

The stage is approximately 150 + square
feet.   We have a film projector and
screen, microphones, stage lights and a
lights/sound board up in the balcony.

There is a green room back stage with
separate entrance. Whenever possible
we provide a full bar outdoors under
the Poplar trees, and either simple BBQ
menu or a fully catered menu.
The Engine Repair House once sheltered a large steam locomotive from the freezing night
temperatures. Under the tracks that run along the aisle are 5-foot pits that allowed maintenance crews
to work underneath the locomotives. The tin roof is stained from the steam and soot from idling
engines. It is probably the only theatre with a full size steam engine nosing up and onto the stage. The
building was converted to a Melodrama Theatre in the summer of 1983.

Melodrama was held for 25 years.  The theatre has been used for many events including:

Variety Shows
The Annual Freebox Fashion Show
Film Club Fridays
Community Fundraisers
Private party events
George Burns Inpersonation
Poetry Slam
movies such as Beer For My Horses
