The Engine House Theatre
The Engine House Theatre is the entry area for the museum.  
It is also used for special events,
films and for private parties.

Seats up to 120, with a "vip" balcony.  The stage is approx. 150 sf.

film projector and screen, microphones, stage lights,
lights/sound board up in the balcony.

The Engine Repair House once sheltered a large steam locomotive from the freezing night temperatures.
Under the tracks that run along the aisle are 5-foot pits that allowed maintenance crews to work underneath the
locomotives. The tin roof is stained from the steam and soot from idling The Engine Repair House once sheltered a large
steam locomotive from the freezing night engines. It is probably the only theatre with a full size steam engine nosing up
and onto the stage. The building was converted to a Melodrama Theatre in the summer of 1983.  
Melodrama was held for 25 years.  The theatre has been used for many events including:

Variety Shows
The Annual Freebox Fashion Show
Film Club Fridays
Community Fundraisers
Private party events
/ wedding receptions
movies such as Beer For My Horses
The movie Beer for my Horses was filmed inside
Mine Museum and in the Engine House Theater.
